Repsol, as part of its commitment to society, is working to facilitate access to repsol.com by all people, regardless of their conditions:
In 2007, repsol.com was upgraded according to the standards of the World Wide Web (W3C): XHTML 1.0 y CSS 2.0.
In 2008 a representative sample of repsol.com pages was subjected to an audit to determine their degree of accessibility based on the commonly accepted standards. The patterns used to measure accessibility were the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0) defined by the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). These guidelines consist of a series of check points that must be met to achieve an accessible web environment. The audit was conducted by ADESIS, a company that has been a member of the W3C since 2007.
In November 2008, repsol.com achieved the following levels of compliance:
In 2009, repsol.com redesigned the corporate information section, incorporating web accessibility criteria. It is currently undergoing an audit process.
In 2010, Repsol redesigned the Products and Services section.
The redesign was undertaken and defined in accordance with the phases established in User-Centered Design (UCD)methodology. By following the specifications in the ISO/IEC 9126 standard, it has enabled the participation of end users through real testing. This has made it possible to stay ahead of future problems with interaction and to solve them based on usability standards and user experience.
AIn addition, this adaptation was defined in accordance with the standard UNE 139803:2004, "Computer Applications for Disabled People.Accessibility Requirements for Web Content", which establishes the characteristics that must be met by the content available through Web technologies on the Internet, so that they can be used by most people, including disabled people and the elderly, independently or with the relevant technical assistance.
With this, certain accessibility and Web semantics criteria have been implemented to adapt the section to the AA level of WCAG 1.0 and 2.0 . Some of the most important of all these criteria are the following:
The section is currently undergoing a process of final validation and auditing.
